Big dreams, need Practical skills

Start Your Next Adventure

If you have always wanted to paint this is a great time to start on that new art adventure. Getting started is the hardest part. That is why we want you to come along a group of other art enthusiasts that are all learning, growing, and encouraging each other along the way.

We all know the frustration when our art doesn’t look like we saw it in our imagination. The best way I can describe it is that our taste and our skills don’t match up.

If you want to improve your art skills, this is the class for you.

What started as a beginner’s short course has turned into a weekly small group of art enthusiasts dedicated to creating art in a group setting. Each week we show up for each other, and encourage each other to let go of perfectionism and fear and explore new and exciting ways of self-expression.

Each term will consist of different drawing and painting modules with the aim of building on our existing skills, and learning new skills as we grow our art practice. We will work on the following: drawing from life, mixing colours, building our understanding of colour theory, and we will cycle through various mediums such as charcoal, ink, acrylics, watercolours, oil and gouache.

Weather you are a complete beginner or have already been making art for years, you will learn new ways of keeping your creative juices flowing and find the group dynamic inspiring.
